I’m a recently registered architect who engages with a wide range of design disciplines. My interest in and passion for design has opened many doors and allowed me to develop skills in numerous fields.

In 2011 I achieved my Masters In Architecture at the University of Melbourne and was awarded the Deans Honours Award for finishing in the top 5 students. Whilst studying for my Masters I pursued a long time interest in film and theatre by completing a course in Production Design by the acclaimed Designer Richard Roberts at the Victorian College of the Arts and went on to win a Melbourne Theatre Company award for my role as Production Designer (both set and costumes – a shared role with Stephan Moravski) for Sweeney Todd at Union House Theatre. This production lead onto extremely exciting opportunities including working with ::

:: Director Tom Gutteridge and writter by Fregmonto Stokes production 1938: An Opera as Costume Designer,
:: Melbourne renown musical theatre writers and directors Dean Bryant and Mathew Frank as Production Designer for the sold out season of Prodigal at 45 Downstairs in Melbourne in 2011,
:: New writer/director Bridget Mackey’s for her newly established theatre company Die Pigeon where I assisted in Production Design for both Brighton Jetty and Burger King for the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2011,
:: Union House Theatre for a production of Memmie Le Blanc Directed by Tom Gutteridge, (who also directed Sweeney Todd and 1938: An Opera) as Production Designer, (to read a review on the set design please click here),
:: Working with Melinda Kalac as the set dresser on her short film called Your Best Foot Forward.
:: Contract work as Production Designer for Carey Grammar School for their school production of OZ.

Along with my interest in both Architecture and Production Design in 2009 I won the Green Award and was shortlisted for the Concept Award for my flip ‘n latch modular furniture piece at VIVID.  It was then selected for the Melbourne Fringe Furniture Exhibition that same year. In 2010 the flip ‘n latch, with a new kids version, was on display in it’s own stall at the Melbourne Furnitex Expo (part of the VIVID 2009 prize). This design still gains much interest from stores and designers.

I have worked as a freelancer on a number of Interior Design projects in and around Melbourne, including Little Tommy Tucker cafe in Bentleigh, with Emily Stubbe. This venture grew quickly and helped me gain valuable experience in the Melbourne design scene.

This engagement with a variety of design disciplines has given me fabulous opportunities. I continue to seek out and become involved in many projects – only key projects are described above – giving me access to new skills and exposure to new concepts in design and design techniques.
