Memmie le Blanc

Memmie Le Blanc is a play based on a true story from 1731 France. The play revolves around a young girl named Memmie who was raised by the wilderness until she is adopted by an aristocrat who attempts to civilise her. The play asks us to define what it is to be human and how do we differentiate between human and savage.

The design intent is to cage Memmie into this new environment, to create a physical barrier between the aristocrat world she is taught is right and the natural world that she craves.
